Join the Coalition

When your church joins the Coalition, you become part of a growing movement of churches across our region linking arms to care for vulnerable children and the families who welcome them home. Together, we reflect the heart of God by meeting real needs, building lasting relationships, and bringing hope to families who often feel unseen or alone.

As a Coalition partner, your church receives tools, training, and guidance to launch or strengthen your own ministry that supports foster, adoptive, and kinship families. You’ll also be connected to a network of like-minded churches, multiplying the impact far beyond what any one congregation could do alone.

When the Body of Christ moves together, every child and family can experience the love, belonging, and stability they deserve.

Let’s link arms. Join the Coalition today.

Coalition of Care Church Partnership – FAQ

We ask that a pastor or staff member with leadership authority sign the MOU. Having the buy-in of church leadership is essential for the success of a Vulnerable Children Ministry (VCM). When leadership is engaged, the ministry is more likely to thrive, volunteers feel supported, and families know the church is truly committed.

No, financial contributions are not required to join. However, ongoing financial support helps sustain the Coalition of Care’s mission of equipping churches, providing training and resources, and supporting families. Many churches choose to give as part of their annual budget or by hosting a special offering.

Churches that join the Coalition are included in our public directory, gain access to exclusive resources and trainings, receive equipping newsletters, and have ongoing support as they establish and sustain their VCM. Coalition churches are also part of a citywide movement, multiplying the impact of each ministry and demonstrating that the Body of Christ is united in care.

Each church has its own rhythm, strengths, and calling. We ask every partner church to identify at least two Lead Volunteers to help guide the ministry, lift up vulnerable children and families in prayer, and keep the vision before the congregation. Together, we’ll help you develop a ministry plan that aligns with your church’s culture and calling—one that allows your people to live out God’s heart for vulnerable children in a way that feels natural and sustainable.

Every church begins somewhere, and God uses each step of obedience to make a difference. Our team is ready to come alongside you by offering tools, training, and encouragement to help your church take its first steps in caring for vulnerable children and families.
